The RANGE Crew is headed back to Denver for three days of purpose-driven panels, workshops and parties at Outdoor Retailer Snow Show 2020. Grab your planners and meet us on the convention center floor — here’s our schedule of events you won’t want to miss.

 

Day One – Wednesday, January 29, 2020

 

Donate to the Camber Outdoors Coat Drive

Time: Anytime, January 29-30

Location: The RANGER STATION, Boot #VO323-SL

What’s Happening: Raid your gear closet and swing by The RANGER Station to donate your gently used jackets to the Camber Outdoors x Button & Zipper coat drive (we’re one of the drop-off stations). Feel free to solicit donations from friends and family — after OR, the outerwear will be distributed to those in need of an extra layer in the Denver Metro area. Kids coats are especially needed. 

 

Morning Session: Social Support

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

What’s Happening: Brand partnerships are a two-way street and it’s not always as simple as promoting a product. Utilizing the digital landscape, we’ll dive into the collaborative ways purpose-driven brands and influencers are tackling important issues in the outdoor industry and explore how content creators are enabling nonprofits to rise to the top of the feed.

Lunch Workshop: Textile Repurposing Station with Outdoor Product Design & Development

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. 

Location: The RANGER Station, Booth #VO323-SL

What’s Happening: Textile waste is a permissive issue throughout the industry, whether offcuts of unused fabric yardage, or outdated fabric swatches and headers, the amount of wasted material can be staggering. Student designers from the Outdoor Product Design & Development program will be onsite at The RANGER Station upcycling scrap materials into functional and beautiful designs. Come by and learn about the power of upcycling and watch the OPDD students turn wasted materials into beautiful new products.

 

Afternoon Session: The Modern Outdoor Movement

Time: 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

Location: The RANGER Station, Booth #VO323-SL

Description: How has the outdoor industry evolved since the launch of Venture Out? Join us for this panel discussion featuring emerging and established brands and retailers who’ve played a key role in shaping the Modern Outdoor Movement.

What’s Happening: How have start-ups utilized innovation and technology to disrupt the outdoor industry? We’ll talk to brands and retailers changing the game by harnessing the power of crowdfunding, crowdsourcing, and direct-to-consumer business models.

What’s Happening: National Parks contain some of the rarest and fragile ecosystems on the planet and are especially vulnerable to climate change. How will changing temperatures, rising seas, and new fire regimes impact our National Parks, and what can we do about it? Join Parks Project as we discuss the future of parks in a changing climate with the scientists, leaders, policy advocates, and artists working in the field to save our national treasures.
