Launching the latest newsprint edition of RANGE Magazine, creative agency RANGE will present progressive, forward-thinking content to the outdoor industry coinciding with Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2014. RANGE Magazine encourages people to “fly their own flag”, get outdoors, and do what they love each and every day. Art Directed by Joel Speasmaker of Forest studio, the new issue will feature articles related to design and trend, as well as up-and-coming outdoor brand stories. Readers can look forward to striking photography and engaging illustrations highlighting apparel, gear and technology developments within the active lifestyle industry. RANGE Magazine goes beyond authentic editorial content — it is a symbol of collaboration and an opportunity to celebrate the future of the active, sport and lifestyle markets.

RANGE partnered with many creative spirits to launch the new issue of RANGE Magazine including talented outdoor/lifestyle photographer Brian Merriam, who also shot the centerfold for RANGE’s first issue, entitled Scramble. The cover of the Summer Market 2014 issue features a photograph Brian shot surrounded by 40–50 mph winds in the Imperial Dunes of Southeast California, a feat he will celebrate by taking a RANGE-sponsored road trip. Kicking off after the magazine’s Salt Lake City launch and Outdoor Retailer’s Summer Market, Brian will complete a loop through the dramatic wilderness of Idaho, Oregon, California and Nevada, posting road trip images on RANGE’s Instagram account and blog during Outdoor Retailer.

The magazine also features artwork from photographers Halley Roberts, Katie McCurdy, Ian Durkin and Meg Haywood Sullivan, with illustrations by Seth Neilson, Andrew Groves, Lizzy Janssen, Jonathan Cammisa and Lucy Englemen.
