RANGE has been attending Outdoor Retailer shows for over a decade, since 2005 to be exact. Now fast forward to the 2017 Winter Market show and you’ll see that RANGE has reached a distinguished milestone. With the introduction of the Ranger Station, in partnership with Venture Out, we’ve designed a place to call our own and share with you, our outdoor family. A place to fly our flag.
The Ranger Station served as the central hub at this year’s Venture Out at Outdoor Retailer 2017 Winter Market. With an emphasis on education, design and community, we were elated to host a roster of panel discussions with incredible community leaders, and engage with audiences on important issues, such as identifying the modern outdoors woman, the future of retail, and how to achieve more diversity and inclusivity in the industry. We even hosted a group meditation session! It was awesome to take a moment to practice self-care even amidst the buzz on the show floor.
With the first-ever Radical by Design pop-up, we celebrated innovative product design from both emerging and established brands in Venture Out that elevate outdoor adventure. It was an honor to feature their distinguished gear within the showcase and present the Radical by Design Seal of Approval to our friends–old and new–in person. A curated library of outdoor, lifestyle and design literature offered an opportunity for Outdoor Retailer attendees to relax and catch up on some amazing stories from our favorite writers and publications, as well as RANGE Magazine Issue Six.
With each Outdoor Retailer show, we look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with our team, friends and partners in Salt Lake City. As the outdoor industry changes, it’s important to us at RANGE to evolve and share physical space and time with the community of people we respect and admire. The Ranger Station is for you, it’s for us, the photographers, the illustrators, the writers, the retailers, and the emerging and the established brands that are shaping the industry we’ve all come to love.
