As you probably know, here at RANGE, we love it when the art and fashion worlds intersect, and this collaboration between adidas Originals and HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles is a prime example of what winning looks like. HVW8’s enlisted two of its rad artists to design two adidas Originals skate shoes, the Seely and Adi-Ease.
Jean André and Kevin Lyons – who also recently worked on the awesome 10th anniversary collection for our friends at Mighty Healthy – used the sneakers as their canvases and created unique designs for each silhouette. Lyons went for a bright and colorful approach, using watercolor paint, while André kept his designs more muted with a grayscale palette. If you’re in L.A. on Saturday, November 15, you can check out these kicks in person at HVW8 during their “All Day I Dream About Stripes” release party. For now, though, you can have a look at the collaborative collection below.
