Through The Lens: RANGE Magazine Outtakes – South of Nowhere

In case you’ve been camping in the backcountry, RANGE Magazine launched its Summer 2014 issue this past Wednesday. We got an overwhelming amount of support from our friends within the industry and are riding high on positive vibes we received at Outdoor Retailer. We will be posting some outtakes from the issue over the next few weeks, and wanted to share some beautiful images that didn’t make it into the magazine from our centerfold photo essay “SOUTH OF NOWHERE.

A collaboration between Westerlind and RANGE, the shoot features EXTRAORDINARY PHOTOGRAPHY from our talented friend Halley Roberts. The photos were captured around a dreamy beach bonfire (the poem below pretty much sums it up), and the looks were provided by Snow Peak, Armor Lux, Westerlind, Gramicci, Victory Press and OYO.

South of Nowhere

Central coast of California, north of somewhere and south of nowhere.
Socked in, and soaked up.
Pockets of sunshine, moments of clarity.

Unmarked trails, push down to the beach.
Camp life, real life, stand still, keep moving.

Washed out tones fade into the waves.
Grey skies, clear skies, they all set in the west.

XX SYDNEY
