Nau’s 2014 Holiday Campaign: “The Materealists”

Earlier this month, Portland-based lifestyle brand Nau unveiled part one of its 2014 Holiday campaign titled “The Materealists.” Led by newly appointed Creative Director Allison Ross, the three-part series will define the concept of “materealism” by revealing how Nau’s materials are made, sourced and used in the careful creation of its apparel and accessories. The campaign will also utilize a hyper-realism artistic style in order to encourage consumers to look deeper into the inspirations behind Nau’s various collections, and further understand the brand’s passion for style, performance and sustainability.

Part One of the series, “The Wool Materealists,” is a story highlighting Nau’s wool outerwear collections for both men and women, which provide timeless outdoor utility features, as well as updated, urban-inspired cuts and materials. We also totally admire how the props, scenery and color achieved in the photographs for the first story emphasize that Nau’s wool designs are not reproductions, but rather re-imaginations of what modern workwear is capable of being.

Take a peek at some of the photos from Part One in our gallery below, check out the behind-the-scenes video filmed by John Clayton Lee, and keep an eye out for Part Two: Down and Part Three: Trenches.
