We released RANGE Magazine Issue Two a few weeks ago and within its pages is a little article we titled “Cocktails + Happy Trails.” The story was inspired by the idea of creating handcrafted cocktails out of fresh, accessible ingredients that can be foraged straight from the trails we trek on a regular basis.
We enlisted a knowledgeable team comprised of forager Emily Han, mixologist Rachel Mae Furman and photographer Jennifer Puno to bring this story to life and document their experiences. The trio came back from Malibu’s Leo Carrillo State Park with heaps of refreshingly beautiful photographs, so we thought we’d share some outtakes that didn’t quite make it into the mag. In addition to the photographs, our friends Caleb Woods and Oliver Fitzgerald of Schema Media filmed the entire adventure from a behind-the-scenes perspective.
We hope you enjoy the imagery below from the making of “Cocktails + Happy Trails,” and be sure to read the full article here. Also, if you happen to be in the Portland area on February 26, Snow Peak PDX is hosting a RANGE Magazine Issue Two Cocktail Party inspired by the recipes featured in this article.
